Call for PMI Charleston, SC Chapter Board of Director Nominations for 2026-2027
The PMI Charleston, SC Chapter Elections Coordinator is currently accepting nominations for the PMI Charleston, SC Chapter volunteer Board of Directors. Open positions follow the nomination requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a PMI Charleston Chapter member in good standing to be considered as a nominee or to vote in this election.
- Self-nominations are permitted and encouraged.
- Current Board Members must be nominated or self-nominate to continue in a board position.
- Please nominate (or self-nominate) someone who has:
- Acknowledged and agreed to serve on the Board
- Can commit to attending monthly Board of Directors meetings (virtual or in-person)
- Can support at least 2 membership events annually
- Is a motivated self-starter
- Is responsive to action items resulting from Board strategy, commitments and programming decisions
- Positions are for 2-year terms January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2028.
Nomination Details/Requirements
To be considered and accepted as a qualified nominee, you must submit the online nomination form no later than July 14th, 2025.
If you are nominating another person, please coordinate/confirm that the nominated member is in agreement with the nomination provision of a bio and headshot. It is vital that the nomination committee obtain the individual's bio in for the nomination to move forward.
Board of Directors Open Positions

Open positions are listed below. Please read on for more details about each role.
- President - Elected volunteer responsible for oversight of the chapter and the board. This volunteer directs, has an overview of, and coordinates the activities of the other board members in accordance with the chapter bylaws.
- Executive Vice President - Successor to the president; elected volunteer who will assist the president with his or her duties of managing the chapter and assume the full role of the chapter president if the president is unable to perform duties for any reason.
- VP of Administration - Elected volunteer responsible for preparing, maintaining, recording and circulating all records, correspondence, meeting minutes (both board meetings and membership meetings), and related affairs of the chapter.
- VP of Professional Development - Responsible for creating and managing professional development and education
programs in accordance with chapter policies and bylaws. Responsible for the development of chapter education activities which include but are not limited to the preparation and maintenance of PMI’s certifications, as well as the development and sustainability of relationships with local colleges, universities and other external partners such as Authorized Training Partners (ATPs).
- VP of Special Events - Responsible for the overall planning, promotion, and logistics of various chapter events that aim ultimately to foster chapter membership growth and retention, nurture the volunteer experience through engagement and deliver value to the project management community. This may also include, but is not limited to, supporting event marketing strategy, venue searches, recruiting and leading talented speakers and volunteers, managing expenses, developing sustainable partnerships with companies and organizations, and solving budget issues.
