This product gives us all a new and unique way to learn. And most importantly to many of us, all time spent viewing these videos qualifies towards our collection of PDUs. This site has a tracking tools that will track our PDU collection for us. Content is updated weekly with new and revamped content covering all aspects of our project management and related professions.

Monthly Chapter Meetings

PMI Charleston's Chapter Meeting is our premier monthly event, bringing advances and topics of interest to our membership. These meetings are orchestrated on a monthly basis through the efforts of our Vice President of Professional Development. Chapter meeting dates, topics, speakers and links to registration are listed on the Events Calendar. 

You asked and we listened! Previously our chapter meetings were held on the third Thursday of every month over lunch at 11:30am. We heard feedback that this can be a challenging time for some once travel time is factored in and  as of 2020 implemented a new rotation of meeting times. All Meetings are currently virtual due to precautionary measures to mitigate the spread of COVID. As a result the cost of attendance has been reduced to $5 for members

Youth

The PMI Educational Foundation (PMIEF) believes when we teach the world’s youth to apply project management skills in their lives, we unlock their potential and open doors to key life skills including collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, communication, and more. Higher Education

In 2020, Charleston PMI launched a new collaboration with Charleston Southern University and other local higher education institutes headed by Darwin Hochstedler. This inititaive was a major interactive learning experience that partnered students with active practitioners to engage in meaningful and practical discussions surrounding the types of scenarios project managers deal with in their professions. This collaboration was a huge success and we hope to garner as much support and participation at next years' event! If you would like to get involved please email Darwin to ask how.

Aspiring Practitioners - All Ages!

In 2020, Charleston PMI launched a new mentorship program. The PMI Charleston Mentor Program is an additional benefit for chapter members. The program is designed to pair chapter members in a 1:1 mentor/mentee relationship such that both can improve their skills, knowledge, and network in areas related to project management. The program strives to,

• Support chapter members (mentors and mentees) in developing their personal and professional skills. 

• Provide an avenue for mentees to explore areas such as career interests, PMI certifications, or working through specific issues from their workplace. 

• Provide mentors and mentees a chance to expand their network of professional contacts 

• Increase chapter event participation. Mentors and mentees together can attend chapter meetings and special events.

Anyone who is a member of the PMI Charleston Chapter can participate in the program. You do not need to be PMI certified to participate. If you would like to learn more please reach out to Eric.
