Welcome Dr. Lance Decker, Director of Military Outreach

Dr. Lance Decker, PMP

Dr. Lance Decker is the PMI-Charleston Director of Military Outreach.  He feels strongly that veterans make great project managers.  With the right credentials, veterans will be highly sought after by the area’s defense contractors.

Dr. Decker teaches PMP Exam Preparation courses in the Low Country and is an adjunct professor teaching Project Management in a graduate program at Texas A&M University.  He also contracts with Auburn University in Commercial Motor Vehicle research for the US Department of Transportation.  He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, and a master’s and PhD from Texas A&M University.

He has been married for 43 years to the love of his life and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
