As the premier professional organization in project management, The Project Management Institute has more than 550,000 members worldwide, serving more than 300 local chapters who turn to PMI membership to give them the tools and support they need to make their mark on the profession.

PMI membership signifies that you’re serious about your project management career and your professional development. It highlights this dedication to employers, colleagues and stakeholders, giving you an edge in the job market. It also provides you with access to valuable knowledge; networks and resources that help you improve and advance.

Whether you’re new to project management or a seasoned veteran, PMI has a membership plan that’s right for you. Check out the membership options we have for practitioners, students and retirees. Group rates are also available.

PMI Charleston

Membership is open to any person who is interested and/or engaged in practicing, teaching, researching or otherwise applying project management. To become a member in the Charleston Chapter, you must first join the global PMI organization.

Chapters advance the mission and objectives of PMI by promoting professional standards and practices. PMI Charleston is focused on raising the bar for project management in the Low Country. Ongoing professional development is a key benefit to membership and is supported at the chapter level through activities, meetings, and educational programs.

Chapters provide the ability for project managers to increase their knowledge about project management, while also providing an opportunity for networking with fellow project managers.
